Beginners' Class

We start a new beginners class every semester. The Fall Semester beginners' class starts on Monday, September 10, 2007. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome, and no experience is necessary.

Seminar with Mr. Nishiyama in Portage, IN

JKA Indiana and Mr. Milevsky will host a seminar with Mr. Nishiyama on September 7, 8 and 9. More details will be available soon.

Tournament at Purdue University

The Purdue University Challenge Karate Club will host the Charles Meyer Memorial Shiai on Saturday, October 13. More details can be found on the their web site.

The Madison Traditional Karate Tournament

The 25th annual tournament will tentatively take place on Saturday, November 3, 2007. Please check back here for more details.

Seminar with Mr. Milevsky in Portage, IN

Mr. Milevsky will hold a seminar on December 8th at the JKA Indiana dojo in the Meadows Shopping Center, 6020 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368.

The Windy City 15 Tournament

The 15th Windy City Traditional Karate Championship took place on Saturday, March 10, 2007. The club representatives did very well:
Ed Vitelli got third place in one-time attacks
Sara Stalland got second place in lower belt kata
Peggy Lee got third place in intermediate kata
Dong Zhou got first place in intermediate kata
Peggy Lee got second place in women's intermediate kumite
Zhenjie Zhang got second place in men's intermediate kumite
Anton Aramayo got first place in men's brown-belt kumite, and then won the men's brown belt/shodan kumite trophy by winning against the winner of the Men's shodan kumite division.
